Motto by Hilton New York City Chelsea

I am a Hilton honors member and always stay with Hilton. I also regularly go to my local Hilton restaurant because the food is fab and staff is non-intrusive and discreet but super nice when you need them. This Hilton was the same: nice staff, great food and service (bar, reception). However, the housekeeping is a nightmare in this hotel. They don’t come only in the morning when you leave your room, but do work throughout the day. They are extremely loud, smashing carts into walls, smashing doors, talking very loudly, etc. On my fourth day, I was away from 7.30 am, and returned around 1.30 pm. The room was not cleaned, which is fine because I don’t care about cleaning every day. There are enough towels and toiletries. But then they came at 3 pm and harassed me for half an hour. I had a back pain and felt sick so I said no for the service but they would not leave. They kept asking, then called my room number, then my phone, then knocking again. If someone is locked in the room and says no to the service in the afternoon, which part do you not understand? Eventually, I lost it, which is very rare for me because I normally never say what I think and am always polite but this was just too much even for me. This was my first visit to New York. When I come again, I will see if I can book some other Hilton as I will not give up on the company because of this one crazy place. I do hope this gets sorted out because the location and facilities were otherwise amazing.

The location of the hotel is excellent – right in the city center, with everything within reach. The rooms offer everything you need for a comfortable stay. Most importantly, the bed in our room 3803 was amazing – big and very comfortable. I slept like babie and felt fully rested for the next day. During my stay at Hilton on 24th Street, I had a beautiful view of downtown. Every morning I was greeted by a stunning city skyline and sunrise, which made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommended.

What a great stay! We booked last minute, used the app to book at 12:30pm the day of stay, did mobile check-in, picked a room on the 41st floor, and we were sent out mobile key by 1:00pm. Grateful we went straight there from the hotel we were departing with no time being left in limbo. We've stayed at 3 other Motto properties, this one feels elevated, and the room layout was efficient with so much storage to maximize the under 200sf floorplan. All the decor and design details made it feel more upscale than most "mico-room" properties. And WOW, book the landmark view and get a high floor! The sunrises and sunsets with views from Brooklyn to Jersey and everything in-between, just EPIC! Probably one the best views you could possibly ask for in NYC, definitely the best South facing view as the property is so tall it feels completely unobstructed. We used our credit at the bar area and had excellent service and tasty beverages. They had lots of staff and it felt safe, although I will say no one was welcoming guests or really engaging with the guest traffic. Elevators were okay during our stay, but 4 elevators for all 42 floors could easily have delays when they are busier. There is a CVS around the corner and lots of shopping options nearby. Pro Tip- take a walk in Madison square park and enjoy views of the Flatiron building. They have a dog park area if you are traveling with the pups.

It was such an easy and great check-in experience. Jaime was really attentive and friendly. He also took the time to share some great establishments in the area and that really changes my experience as a visitor. He was very kind and was able to answer all of my questions and very personable. He was able to find me a room in a low traffic floor and it was a great choice. The room was really nice and clean. A very great experience staying here.

Honestly one of the best hotel stays I've had in the city. The location is perfect, you're walking distance from the subway so getting around is easy. The room was spotless, housekeeping came daily with fresh towels, and I slept like a baby every single night. The staff genuinely went above and beyond, the kind of service you don't forget. (Special shoutout to Marissa, Omar, Zaida, & Maneal) The restaurant downstairs was a great bonus too, good food, good drinks, no need to go far when you just want to decompress after a long day out. Yes there's noise. You're in New York City. That's literally the point. If you want silence, don't come to Manhattan! Would stay again without hesitation. 10/10.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was exceptional, everything was spotless and very well maintained, which immediately made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The service was truly amazing, but a special thank you to Richnal and Jaime for making my stay 10x better. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and always happy to help. Their recommendations on where to go and what to see were spot-on and really elevated my whole experience. Because of their care and professionalism, my stay felt personal, smooth, and memorable. I genuinely felt looked after from start to finish. Highly recommended, and I would absolutely stay here again!

Great hotel! Rooms are on the smaller size, with limited space to hang clothes and store items. However I think the view makes up for this! As the double rooms only have north facing views, I was slightly worried I wouldn’t get as spectacular view that I have seen on pictures of downtown, however the views on the 42nd floor were amazing. Lovely clean rooms, kind staff and overall a great vibe!

Attractive, kinda vibey hotel with cute small room at a decent price for Manhattan. The service was excellent. We had the Queen bed with a bunkbed over it, which my daughter loved, for one night. Wouldn’t work for a long stay but for a night or two it served us well. We received a 10 dollar amenity credit, which we used for cappuccinos at the breakfast ar in the morning. The food looked good but we didn’t try it.
